Terapi Keperawatan Komplementer dan Alternatif dalam Mencegah Keterlambatan Penyembuhan Luka
Abstract
Hasil penelusuran beberapa literatur menunjukkan bahwa (Complementary and Alternative Medicine - CAM) memiliki beragam manfaat dalam perawatan luka. CAM dapat digunakan sebagai terapi tambahan (adjuvant) untuk perawatan luka konvensional guna mempromosikan penyembuhan luka. Terapi CAM dapat membantu mengelola peradangan dan infeksi yang sering menjadi hambatan dalam proses penyembuhan luka. Selain itu, CAM juga dapat digunakan untuk mengelola rasa sakit dan peradangan yang terkait dengan luka, meningkatkan kesehatan dan kesejahteraan keseluruhan pasien, serta mempromosikan penyembuhan luka dengan menggunakan ramuan herbal dan nutraseutikal. Masa depan CAM dalam perawatan luka melibatkan penelitian lebih lanjut untuk menggali peran CAM dalam manajemen luka kronis. Seperti faktor spiritual dan faktor psikologis Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) yang juga menjadi faktor pelengkap dalam mempercepat penyembuhan luka. Selain itu, penggunaan terapi komplementer berupa fitokimia dan produk alami lainnya dalam perawatan luka menjadi area penelitian yang sedang berjalan. Terapi masa depan mungkin akan fokus pada modulasi re-epitelisasi, pembentukan jaringan granulasi, dan angiogenesis. Pengembangan bahan dan teknologi perban baru juga menjadi fokus penelitian yang aktif. Kesimpulannya, CAM memiliki peran yang signifikan dalam perawatan luka, dan penelitian serta pengembangan lebih lanjut dalam bidang keperawatan dapat membawa manfaat besar bagi pasien dengan luka yang kompleks dan membutuhkan pendekatan yang holistik.
