Mengungkap Kandungan Tanin Ekstrak Buah Mengkudu (Morinda Citrifolia L) Menggunakan Metode Microwave Assisted Extraction (MAE): Pilot Study Bahan Herbal

Abstract


Tanin merupakan senyawa fenolik yang paling umum ditemukan dalam banyak tumbuhan,
termasuk dalam buah mengkudu. Tanin mempunyai manfaat penting dalam kebutuhan farmasi,
pangan, dan herbal. Metode ekstraksi yang efektif dan cepat untuk mendapatkan senyawa
bioaktif dari bahan tanaman adalah metode ekstraksi yang dibantu oleh microwave. Penelitian
ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi senyawa tanin dalam buah mengkudu dengan metode
ekstraksi menggunakan metode Microwave Assisted Extraction (MAE). Penelitian ini adalah
eksperimen di laboratorium dengan menggunakan sampel buah mengkudu. Buah mengkudu
dikeringkan kemudian dijadikan serbuk simplisia. Ekstraksi menggunakan pelarut etanol 96%
dan alkohol 70%, kemudian dipekatkan dengan metode MAE dengan waktu 2 menit dengan suhu
50 derajat C. Ekstrak mengkudu kemudian diidentifikasi tanin dengan menggunakan pelarut FeCl3.
Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa ekstrak alkohol 70% buah mengkudu mengandung senyawa tanin.
