Identifikasi Kandungan Tanin Ekstrak Buah Pare (Momordica charantiaL) Menggunakan Metode Microwave

Abstract


Buah pare (Momordica charantiaL) merupakan salah satu bahan pengobatan herbal yang
memiliki kandungan senyawa bioaktif yang berpotensi untuk digunakan sebagai obat
alami. Tanin adalah senyawa fenolik yang paling umum ditemukan pada tumbuhan, termasuk
buah pare. Dalam kebutuhan farmasi, pangan, dan herbal, tanin memiliki banyak manfaat..
Penelitian ini dilakukan di laboratorium dengan menggunakan sampel buah pare dan bertujuan
untuk mengidentifikasi senyawa tanin. Metode ekstraksi yang dibantu oleh Microwave Assisted
Extraction (MAE) adalah metode ekstraksi yang efektif dan cepat untuk mendapatkan senyawa
bioaktif dari bahan tanaman. Buah pare dikeringkan kemudian diproses menjadi serbuk
simplisia. Dengan menggunakan pelarut etanol 96% dan alkohol 70%, ekstrak kemudian
dipekatkan dengan metode MAE selama dua menit pada suhu 50oC. Hasil penelitian
menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak etanol buah pare mengandung senyawa tanin.
